Information for IRATA Courses:
The IRATA course fees of $2,200.00 NZD include 4 days of training plus one assessment day (5 days in total).
If the instructor or the candidate doesn’t think that assessment should be undertaken, candidates can come back on the next available course with space, and receive as many days extra training as required and undertake the assessment for no extra cost.
If a candidate fails the assessment, candidates are welcome to come back on the next available course with available space, and receive as many days extra training as required for free and undertake the assessment, the only cost will be $840 NZD for the extra assessment.
All candidates are required to complete a medical form for Courses, as they can be quite physically intensive. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private, and is not available to the public.
From the 1st of May 2014: all candidates wishing to re-validate IRATA qualifications must attend four days of training before they can sit the assessment. All existing IRATA technicians must supply their IRATA Logbook on the first day of training for review. Failure to present a correctly filled-out IRATA Logbook for upgrades and re-validations may result in the inability to sit Assessment.
Terms and Conditions for Training Courses:
Payment must be received in full to secure a place on your chosen Training Course.
Course fees are transferable if you can not attend your chosen training course dates, and are able to provide a minimum of 7 days notice in writing.
For IRATA Courses:
If you are able to provide between 7 days and 24 hours notice, management may transfer your course fees to another date of your choice less a $50.00 administration fee.
If you are unable to provide a full 24 hours notice or fail to show up at the commencement of your scheduled IRATA Course, management will retain a $300 administration fee and may transfer the remainder of your course fee to another date of your choice at their discretion. Note: refunds will not be provided, except in circumstances of extreme hardship.
If you fail to show up at the commencement of your scheduled IRATA Course, you will not be provided with a refund.
Failure to attend the 4 full days (32 hours) of mandatory IRATA training will result in inability to sit the assessment per the IRATA TACS requirements.
For NZQA Courses:
If you are unable to provide at least 7 days notice, management will only transfer your course fees in circumstances of illness or extreme hardship.

Prospective candidates have withdrawn from the course and provided 7 days notice (in writing) to 5th Point.
